The Board of Directors is responsible for oversight of the executive team and overall affairs of the company. This board is comprised of diverse individuals who are proven business leaders in their respective fields. The independent Chairman of the Board presides over regularly scheduled meetings of the non-management directors. The Board of Directors has adopted Corporate Governance Guidelines (PDF 47K) which, in conjunction with the Certificate of Incorporation (PDF 68K), Bylaws (PDF 145K) and Board Committee charters, form the framework for governance of the Company.

Robert "Bo" Ewald
Bo Ewald joins SGI as CEO with over 25 years of relevant industry experience in the high performance computing markets. He is a seasoned industry veteran with a successful track record as a CEO. Prior to SGI, Bo was Chairman and CEO of Linux Networx, Inc. Earlier, Bo served as President of Human Resource Solutions of Ceridian Corporation; CEO of Scale Eight, Inc, a high performance network-clustered storage company; and President and CEO of E Stamp. Bo also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI), and President and Chief Operating Officer of Cray Research, Inc. Bo began his management career at Los Alamos National Laboratory as the head of its Computing and Communications Division. He is involved in various industry organizations and was appointed to the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee from 1997 to 2001. Bo earned Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada.

Eugene I. Davis
Eugene Davis is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PIRINATE Consulting Group, LLC, a privately held consulting firm specializing in turnaround management, merger and acquisition consulting, hostile and friendly takeovers, proxy contests and strategic planning advisory services for domestic and international public and private business entities. Since forming PIRINATE in 1997, Mr. Davis has advised, managed, sold, liquidated and served as CEO and other key posts for businesses in a broad range of sectors, from telecommunications and manufacturing to financial services and consumer products. Previously, Mr. Davis served as President, Vice Chairman and Director of Emerson Radio Corporation and CEO and Vice Chairman of Sport Supply Group, Inc. He began his career as an attorney and international negotiator with Exxon Corporation and Standard Oil Company (Indiana) and as a partner in two Texas-based law firms. He holds multiple degrees from Columbia College, the School of International Affairs at Columbia University, and Columbia University School of Law.

Anthony Grillo
Mr. Grillo joined American Securities Advisors, LLC in 2005 as Founder and CEO. Mr. Grillo was previously with Evercore Partners, where he was Senior Managing Director and Founder of the Restructuring Group from 2001 through 2004. From 1999 through 2001, he was a Senior Managing Director of Joseph Littlejohn & Levy Inc., a private equity investment firm specializing in investments in troubled companies. From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Grillo was a Senior Managing Director of The Blackstone Group, L.P., where he was a member of the Investment Committee and Private Equity Group, Co-Founder of the Restructuring Group, and Chief Operating Officer of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. His experience in directing corporate restructurings, reorganizations and strategic investments has included leadership positions Chemical Bank, American Securities, AMA Management Corporation, Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Grillo holds a B.A. in economics from Rutgers College as a Henry Rutgers Scholar and an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School. Mr. Grillo was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in August 2008.

Joanne O. Isham
Joanne O’Rourke Isham is currently the Chief Operating Office of High Performance Technologies, Inc. (HPTi). She joined HPTi in July 2007. Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Isham was the Vice President/Deputy General Manager of Network Systems at BAE Systems. In that capacity she was directly responsible for identifying strategic opportunities for new mission focus within the Intelligence Community, Department of the Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.
Before joining BAE Systems, Ms. Isham was a member of the Senior Intelligence Service and a career officer at the Central Intelligence Agency. From September 2001 until her retirement she served as Deputy Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Immediately prior to that assignment she served as Deputy Director for Science and Technology at the CIA. In that position she was the principal executive overseeing the CIA’s scientific and technical program with particular responsibility for clandestine technical activities and Agency wide research and development. Ms. Isham held several other senior management positions in the CIA and other Intelligence Community organizations. She has received numerous awards throughout her career including the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, the Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the National Medal of Achievement and several Directors’ Awards. Ms. Isham is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

James A. McDivitt
James A. McDivitt was Senior Vice President, Government Operations and International, of Rockwell International Corporation until his retirement in March 1995. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a brigadier general and served as an astronaut at NASA, where he was the Apollo Spacecraft Manager. Mr. McDivitt joined the SGI board in 1987.
